Size

The Rak, which comes from 'Anorak', is all about simplicity. Designed for use with separate body armor, it delivers all-day waterproof protection in driving rain, packs down small when not in use, and is built to last.

Representing a less-is-more approach to ADV rain protection, with fewer places for water to get in, and less to go wrong. The result is a lighter, packable, and more breathable enduro-touring shell with a CE-B rating for abrasion.

This latest version features refined construction to improve water resistance, 3L PFAS-free eVent® AlpineST fabric, and updated YKK® Aquaguard PU-coated pocket zippers, and comes in a new Red Rust color.

DESIGN

The updated Rak Pullover retains its light, durable, waterproof 3-layer outer construction and ‘too simple to fail’ ethos but gains some additional functionality. The Rak’s pullover anorak-style entry with a quarter zip design gets even longer, making it easier to get on and off. We also added a removable hood to be more versatile around camp in adverse weather. Another gain is two Velcro adjustable Anti-Flap Control Tabs at the midsection to reduce flapping and billowing when traveling at higher speeds, plus adjustable cuffs and Cohaesive® embedded cord locks at the hem and collar to help seal out the weather. We also reconsidered the pocketing: two hand pockets, one chest pocket, and a new large front kangaroo stash pocket. The 3L PFAS-free eVent® AlpineST material keeps you dry and comfortable. The Rak's materials and construction are CE-B rated for abrasion, offering slide protection on transfer sections between dirt.

The Rak Pullover gets even more versatile with improved venting options. A two-way zipper on the side access can be zipped down, allowing heat to escape. Unzip the center front and snap it open for enhanced airflow. Or, for the ultimate in airflow and venting, take off the Rak, roll it up, and stash it on the back of the bike. It packs small and features a lash loop on the upper back, so you can strap it directly to your bike or luggage when it’s not in use. The Rak celebrates simplicity and weather protection while preserving the core functionality needed on and off the bike.

Exceptional

Love it. Packs small. Very waterproof. Fewer seams for water to find its way in. A proper waterproof jacket with everything you need and nothing you don't.

Pretty cool, but not perfect and so darn expensive for what it is...

Solid garment, obviously well constructed with good waterproofing and some abrasion resistance. But there are a couple of features I don't like.

First, the hood is part of what attracted me here, as I thought it'd be handy when camping/doubling as my off-bike rain jacket. But in adding permanent elastic to the brim to keep it from flapping in the wind while on the bike, Mosko rendered it into an ill-fitting, odd looking hood off the bike that falls in front of your eyes and frankly isn't one I'm inclined to use. This design is particularly weird given that the hood is removable anyway. So why not make it a well fitting one that is actually usable?

My second critique is the chest pocket. The pocket is mounted on the left side such that your right hand would be the one to access it. But they put the zipper hood on the wrong side, forcing you to basically use your left hand to open the zipper, then your right hand to access it. I just don't get it. I love Mosko as a brand but for a $600 anorak these seem like pretty silly mistakes.

Brilliant and well designed

Best lightweight bike jacket I have ever had the pleasure of using, especially during this hot weather. I am protected from the wind and rain during my bike trips to Norway, packs light and quick to dress when the weather changes in an instant on the norther hemisphere. Will continue see if the quality holds up to more extreme weather when I get closer to the pole, but so far it’s served me well.

This jacket is amazing!!! Love it love it. The design on cuffs is top notch. The only reason it's not 5 stars a couple days after I ordered the price dropped $108 on the website. Guess I should've waited.
